Order Considerations (Before Placing an Order)
When it comes to hardware engineering and design, having a battle-tested process is of the essence. We know how it’s done, yet we are flexible in function of your situation.
Step 1. Material Selection & Performance Requirements
- Material choice should only be made after clearly defining operating conditions such as load, temperature, and environmental exposure.
- Parts with identical dimensions can perform very differently depending on the material; therefore, service life and functional performance should be evaluated alongside cost.
- When using non-standard or special alloys, lead times and machining complexity must be considered in advance.
Step 2. Dimensional Accuracy & Tolerance Definition
- Dimensions that directly affect part functionality should be clearly distinguished from non-critical measurements.
- Applying tight tolerances to every dimension increases production time and cost without adding value; precision should be limited to functional areas. applications

- Dimensional changes caused by anodizing, coating, or other finishing processes must be accounted for in tolerance planning.
- If different surface conditions are required for mating or contact areas, these requirements should be clearly specified.
